The Butterfly Garden gives you the chance to join families and supporters, famous names, companies, volunteers and staff past and present who have committed their name to support the creation of the new Myton Hospice at Coventry. Amongst those lending their support do far are BBC Coventry and Warwickshire’s Liz Kershaw, and Coventry’s Lady Godiva - Pru Poretta.
The garden is an award winning design by Bagington Women’s Institute member Audrey Dickinson. Audrey’s design for a sensory garden was originally for the WI National headquarters at Denman College in Oxfordshire but unfortunately was never built there. However, in 2005 the Warwickshire Women’s Institute Executive Committee approached Myton with a view to adapting the garden design to be used in the new Coventry Myton Hospice.
Our beautiful new ‘Butterfly Garden’ at the heart of our new hospice is to provide an opportunity for members of the public to create a lasting message on a brick paver which will form part of the garden.
As we hope the garden will be appreciated by both visitors and patients alike we need to be sensitive to the feelings if people visiting friends and loved ones in the hospice. We would therefore kindly request that should you choose to order a paver for the Butterfly Garden that your message does not contain the words “in memory / in memorium”, or birth and death dates.
You can order a single or double paver with 2 or four lines of lettering in gold (15 characters per line including punctuation and spaces). All orders come with a certificate of authenticity which can be framed and given as a gift.
A single paver will cost a suggested minimum donation of £60.00 whilst a double will cost aminimum of £100.00
Corporate supporters of organisations maywish
