Remembering a Loved one
Often when someone close to us dies we look for ways to remember them and, in some way, pay tribute to their lives. Many people whose loved one dies at Myton decide to make that tribute something that can also benefit current and future patients at the Hospice. There are a range of ways that you can do this and some ideas are listed below. Light a candle
We have chapels / multi faith rooms in our hospices in Warwick and Coventry where you can light a candle in memory of a loved one. We will provide a special card for you to write a message which you can leave in the chapel with the candle. Please speak to staff on reception at either hospice for more information. We do ask for a small donation but this is entirely optional.
Donation in lieu of flowers
A significant amount of our work is made possible because people ask family and friends to make a donation to Myton instead of buying flowers for the funeral. It is a simple and effective way of supporting the Hospice. You can phone us on 01926 838821and ask to speak to the Donor & Supporter Care Team who can provide you with donation envelopes, alternatively your funeral director will organise this for you - just tell them that you want to support The Myton Hospice
Butterfly Funds
Setting up a tribute fund provides a more permanent way to remember a loved one and help the Hospice at the same time. Once you have opened a fund we will set up a page on our website on which you and your family and friends can write messages and tributes and any donations that you or anyone makes in memory can also be recorded.

Butterfly Garden
Our beautiful Butterfly Garden at the centre of our hospice in Coventry provides an opportunity to have your loved one’s name at the heart of the building. The garden contains a range of different types of pavers that can be bought and dedicated to the person you want to remember.
In Memory Donation
You may feel that you want to make a one off donation to Myton in recognition of the care and support that you and your loved one have received. You can do this by asking for a donation envelope from the receptions of any of our hospices or shops.
Light up a Life and In Memory Events
At various times of the year we hold in memory events at our hospices – The most special of which are the Light up a life events at each of our 3 hospices. This is an opportunity for us to remember loved ones and join in with a Christmas service taken by our chaplain and members of the Myton team.
