Get Fit, Have Fun, Make a Difference

Exercise can be fun (honestly) – especially when you do it with a group of friends, your partner or even the dog, and when you can all sit down with a nice glass of wine and a hot dog from the barbeque (Warwick only) when you’ve finished! It’s even better of course if doing the exercise benefits not only your health but makes a difference to the lives of others.

The Myton Hospices annual Sunflower Walk is a choice of 4 routes ranging from 5.77miles – 10miles over 2 dates in June. On the 1st you can amble through beautiful countryside around Warwick and Leamington and on the 22nd see the wildlife in and around Coombe Abbey in Coventry. Of course you could walk on both dates – think how fit you’d feel then! Details about all of the routes are given on the registration form enclosed.

Making it Fun

fun Why not get a group of friends together and start training now – you don’t have to be a seasoned walker, just up for some gentle exercise and a lot of fun. You can be creative too – why not dress up to do the walk? Past events have seen fairies, Mickey Mouse and the day wouldn’t be complete without a nun or two!

Walk for someone you love

This year we are giving people the opportunity to walk for someone they love. If this is something you would like to do, please write the name of the person you are walking for in the relevant space on the registration form.

A small registration fee of £3.00 is being charged to help cover the costs of administration, thereby maximising the impact your sponsorship will have on the hospice.
