Myton Hospice Warwick - In Patient unit

Introduction

In-patient unit

The in-patient unit has 24 beds and care is provided in a relaxed and homely atmosphere. The unit provides short-term care, the maximum length of stay is usually for a period of 14 days or less. There are no charges for any of the services. The Hospice aims to enhance your quality of life, to support you, your family and those close to you.

In-patient unit

Patients come to the Hospice for a variety of reasons, for control of their symptoms such as pain that has proved difficult to manage in the community/hospital or at the terminal stage of their illness. There is also limited bed availability for respite care. Referrals will be considered on the basis of clinical need and admissions will be prioritised accordingly. Due to circumstances beyond our control we may need to relocate you within the in-patient unit, this will only happen after careful consideration of the need of all our patients.
