In memory of Chris Dear

Loving Dad, husband, brother, step-father, foster-father, and friend to so many.

Chris passed away peacefully in Coventry Myton Hospice after a short-stay, but a long fight against prostate cancer. He loved life and loved work. The number of visitors and well-wishes he had from family, friends, foster-children and former work colleagues was a tribute to this.

There are no words to describe how amazing and kind the staff were at Coventry Myton Hospice. Chris was able to spend his days surrounded by his family and friends, in a peaceful environment cared for by compassionate nurses and staff. Those who visited Chris will remember his delight at discovering a ‘comfort cupboard’ containing cold beers, which was only surpassed when a beer fridge appeared on his locker the next day. Anything that could be done to make his stay more comfortable was considered.

It is only fitting that any contributions made in memory of Chris will be used to help provide future comfort and care for others who will experience this wonderful hospice. Please claim gift aid (if applicable) so Myton can make the most of your contribution.

Goodbye Dad. Goodbye Chris. Always loved. Xx
