As many of you know my dad sadly passed away from bowel cancer on Boxing Day 2011, however until now, I don’t think I have emphasised the important role that Myton hospice played not only in his final months but also in the months after his death for my mum and myself.
Although my dad only spent 5 days in the actual hospice, for several months before hand Myton Hospice provided nurses and therapy to help relieve my dad’s pain and ensure his last months were comfortable. In addition to this they also provided therapy to help deal with the grief and hardship he was to overcome before his passing. Myton also made sure this service was available to my mum to ensure she was looked after and help relieve as much stress as possible from the forseeable future.
After my dad’s death Myton made sure that my mum and I were cared for mentally by offering many free services such as relaxation therapy and counselling, which without we would both be completely and utterly lost. Neither of us can ever express or thank Myton for all the support they have given to our family but hope that by your donations Myton hospice can continue to offer these service to others who unfortunately have to go through this painful process. Myton hospice helped in getting our lives back on track and although it has been a long process, which is still in progress, we can never ever repay or thank them enough.
Unfortunately since my dad’s passing my mum and I have experienced the hard work Myton hospice have put into other families close to us which makes us not only more grateful for the work they do, put more passionate about helping their cause.
