Margi, a strong, positive and inspirational woman, lost her battle to cancer on 9th September 2013. One of the things that made a real difference to her over her last few months was the practical support and comfort provided by Myton Hospice.
Michael, Nick and Aithne will always be grateful to Myton for their help, during such a difficult time. To thank Myton and help maintain such an important community asset they have set up this page to enable all those who would wish, to make a donation to the charity that meant so much to Margi.

” My family will always be indebted to Myton for the care and sheer humanity shown to Margi in her last days. Having suffered a particularly uncomfortable and painful episode in her long illness, Margi arrived at Myton drained of energy and in very low spirits. The day she arrived at Myton was warm and sunny. Bright sunshine streamed into her room through the double glass doors which looked out on the surrounding parkland. Margi was delighted when it was suggested that she could spend the afternoon outside, in the sunshine, in her bed. She stayed out until late evening ignoring the falling temperature. In the days that followed, she became very ill again but the memory of that wonderful afternoon in the sunshine continued to deliver sunshine as her life, though never her life force, began to ebb away. ”
