Join the nation and take on The 2.6 Challenge to help to raise vital funds for Myton!

The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26th April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.

To join The 2.6 challenge all you need to do is take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to Myton.

People of all ages and fitness levels are taking on The 2.6 Challenge with a host of activities – from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles or 2.6km, to more obscure activities like juggling for 2.6 minutes or doing 26 laps of your garden on a space hopper!

You can literally do whatever you like as long as it’s based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 (and follows government guidelines on exercise and social distancing). The possibilities are endless!

Most people are taking part on Sunday 26 April (but you can do your activity whenever you want to). There are just five simple steps to take:

    1. Decide on your 2.6 challenge

    2. Set up a JustGiving page or make a donation

    3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge

    4. Complete your challenge!

    5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with us @Mytonhospices #TwoPointSixChallenge

Like many charities we are facing huge financial pressures as a result of Covid-19 and are missing out on vital funds that would usually be raised by people taking part in events such as the London Marathon in aid of Myton.

The aim of this nation-wide campaign is to raise £67 million for UK charities and it has the support of Sport England, the BBC and a whole host of celebrities. So why not sign up today and be part of something amazing?

We can’t wait to see some of the challenges you come up with!
