  • Great Wall of China Trek - The experience of a lifetime!

Few people are given the opportunity to walk along the lesser-seen parts of the Great Wall of China, but The Myton Hospices are giving people the chance to join a team of intrepid fundraisers to do just that!

Only a few sections of the Great Wall of China are still open to the public, but trekking 36km over five days will give you access to parts of the historic wall that not many people are lucky enough to experience!

We have organised this fantastic challenge through Global Adventure Challenges who will take you over watch towers and mountains, and through historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail – there are many sections of this challenge where you will feel the Great Wall is only for you and your fellow trekkers, with no-one else in sight.

Lay your own 'in memory' brick upon one of the Seven Wonders of the World forever!

And exclusive to operators Global Adventure Challenges, our participants will get to lend a hand repairing a section of the Wall which is currently being reconstructed. You will be able to lay a brick ‘in memory’, ensuring you and your loved one will have a place on one of the Seven Wonders of the World forever!
  • The Myton Hospices - Great Wall of China Flex Slider Challenge Event

Experience Beijing and celebrate your achievements

Following the five days of trekking you will have some free time to explore Beijing’s famous sites like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square before celebrating your achievement – and resting your feet – at a farewell dinner.

Join Team Myton for an experience of a lifetime; as the Chinese saying goes ‘you have not lived if you have not been to the Great Wall!’

We are hoping to raise £42,000 from this extraordinary event, which would be enough to keep the Inpatient Unit at Warwick Myton Hospice running for seven days!

Registration for this event has now closed however if you would like to discuss this further with a member of our events team please email events@mytonhospice.org.
