  • FAQ's

    Check in:

Check in on the day is from 9am for people running at 10am, and from 10am for those jogging or walking at 11am.

Check in will be clearly signposted and located in Victoria Park, Leamington Spa. When you check in please let us know how much sponsorship money you have raised so far; this will help us estimate how much the event has raised in total.

    Pre check-in:

This year you will have the option to check-in in advance to collect your Santa suit and/or elf suit.

Pre check-in will be at Warwick Myton Hospice (Myton Lane, off Myton Road, Warwick, CV34 6PX) on Saturday 24th November from 10am to 1pm. You don’t need to bring anything with you, just give your details and the details of anyone else whose pack you might be collecting on their behalf.

Please note: if you check-in in advance you won’t need to do so on the day itself (which means at least another 15 minutes in bed!)

    Location:

We ask that all our Santas and elves gather at Victoria Park (CV31 3PH). If you have never seen hundreds of Santas gathered like this before you are in for quite a treat!

    Route:

Starting at Victoria Park, Santas and elves will complete two laps of the park and surrounding areas. There will be clear signage throughout the route and there will be plenty of volunteer marshals to direct you and cheer you on!

    Parking:

There are plenty of parking facilities in Leamington Spa which are just a short walk away from Victoria Park:

    • St Peters multi-storey CV32 5EL (access via Augusta Place)

    • Adelaide Bridge CV31 3PD

    • Bedford Street CV32 5DT

    • Royal Priors multi-storey CV32 4XT

Please note that there will be temporary road closures along The Parade due to the Christmas market. See more parking options and charges at www.warwickdc.gov.uk/info/20546/leamington_car_parks

    The Suits:

All adult Santa suits are one size fits all and include adjustable trousers, a jacket and even a beard (so you don’t need to grow your own!) Please bring your own belt and make sure you wear suitable footwear and clothes underneath to keep you warm.

We also have Youth and Junior Santa suits which include a jacket, trousers and a hat.

As we all know Santa couldn’t get ready for Christmas without his elves so younger children taking part in the dash will receive elf suits.

    Facilities:

There will be portable toilets located in Victoria Park.

    First Aid:

If you are feeling unwell or need first aid please call the events team mobile: 07599 752835. Warwickshire Ambulance Association will be on hand to deal with any incidents.

Please be aware that as the event is held in winter the weather conditions are likely to be more adverse, so please take care along the route and make sure you wear suitable footwear.

    Dogs:

It is no secret that we love dogs here at Myton! We would like to welcome all well-behaved dogs to this year’s event, but please bear in mind the event will be very busy and there will be lots of other dogs on site.

    Refreshments:

We always like to make sure our supporters are well fed when taking part in our events so there will be tasty bacon or sausage sandwiches available to buy throughout the event as well as a range of hot and cold drinks to keep you hydrated before and afterwards!
