A study day designed to increase your skills and confidence in addressing Advance Care Planning and other sensitive issues relating to end of life care.
This study day aims to equip Registered Nurses, Doctors, Allied Health Professionals and Senior Care Staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence to discuss important but sensitive topics with people with a life-limiting illness.
The morning session will cover the theory and practice of Advance Care Planning, and the afternoon will explore the communication skills needed to respond to difficult questions and to broach the subject of dying.
You will be encouraged to reflect on your learning in the context of your own area of work/field of practice.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
