Another Walk for Myton record breaking year! We cannot thank you all enough!

A record breaking number of people pulled on their trainers and walking boots for a day of walking the Warwickshire countryside, all to raise money for The Myton Hospices.

On Sunday 12th May, almost 800 people of all ages and abilities – and lots of four-legged friends – took on a 3 mile, 6 mile or 12 mile route. Everyone received a certificate when they returned to Warwick Myton Hospice.

The full set of photos will be added to our official Facebook Page by the end of this week.

After the walks an afternoon in the grounds was open to participants and their families, with entertainment including a bouncy castle, a chocolate tombola, face painting, live music, our In Memory zone and plenty of refreshments.

The events team is busy collecting and counting all of the sponsorship money and we hope the fundraising efforts of Myton’s amazing supporters will have met the £38,000 target so we can help more people and their families when they need us most.

Myton would like thank everyone who took part, all of the wonderful volunteers who helped at this year’s event and all those who provided entertainment and refreshments for the walkers to enjoy throughout the day, including Warwick Rock Choir, Holly Hewitt, Cherry the face painter Phil from Parlour Pod, and Ted and Ed who manned the BBQ.
