At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on patient wellbeing and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give our patients more quality time with their loved ones.
At the heart of what we do is patient wellbeing; from managing symptoms and controlling pain to providing social interaction so that they don’t feel alone, from delivering emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual support to offering a relaxed and friendly environment where friends, family and pets are welcome.
We know that making someone feel better is not just about medicine, sometimes holding someone’s hand or taking the time to listen to their fears makes the greatest difference.
Last year we supported over 2,000 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones.
As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year and we can’t do it without support from people like you.
