FAQs

Questions about your Warwick Half Marathon place?

Here are the key things you may want to know before signing up or preparing for race day.

What are the key event details?

Date: Sunday 31st January 2027
Start time: 9am
Distance: Half Marathon, 13.1 miles
Location: Warwick Racecourse, Hampton Street, Warwick, CV34 6HN
Sponsorship pledge: £100

Full arrival information, final race day instructions and any important updates will be sent closer to the event date. Please check your emails, including your junk or spam folder, in the lead-up to race day.

How much sponsorship do I need to raise?

We ask each participant to pledge to raise £100 to help The Myton Hospices continue providing services free of charge to patients and families across Coventry and Warwickshire.

We recommend reaching £25 as soon as possible and then reaching £80 by the day of the event, with the remainder paid into your fundraising page within 6 weeks of the event.

When will I know I definitely have a place in the event?

Once you raise your first £25, we will send you a code to complete your entry directly with the organiser, RunThrough.

It is the participant’s responsibility to complete any required registration by the deadline stated by the organiser. Failure to do so may result in the event place being withdrawn.

What happens if I don’t fundraise?

We ask that you make your best effort to fundraise and engage with the event. Any money raised will help The Myton Hospices continue providing services free of charge to patients and families across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Please note that where there is little or no fundraising engagement, we may need to withdraw or reallocate your charity place. Alternatively, you may choose to purchase your own place directly through the event organiser.

What is the minimum age to take part with a Myton charity place?

Participants must be 18 years or older on race day.

Where and when can I collect my fundraising T-shirt?

If you requested a Myton T-shirt, these will be available for collection from Warwick Myton Hospice only between 11th and 17th January.

Address:
Warwick Myton Hospice
Myton Lane
Warwick
CV34 6PX

Collection times:
Weekdays: 9am to 6pm
Weekends: 9am to 4pm

Collection point: Reception. You can drop in at any time during the above hours, no booking is required.

When will I receive my race number?

Race packs will be posted out to participants a few weeks before the event. If you haven’t received yours by the week of the event, please contact us so that we can check you’ve correctly registered.

You will then be able to visit the information desk on the morning of the race, where RunThrough can issue you a replacement.

Can I transfer my place or defer to next year?

Places are non-transferable between individuals. If you can no longer take part, please let us know as soon as possible.

Deferrals or transfers may be possible depending on organiser deadlines and availability, but cannot be guaranteed.

Is the event chip timed?

Yes. Your race pack will include a timing chip that attaches to your shoelaces. This records your start and finish times to give you an accurate chip-timed result.

Where can I find the official results, and will my time appear on Power of 10?

Official results will be published on the RunThrough results page shortly after the event: www.runthrough.co.uk/results/

You’ll also receive a results email in the days following the race. Most results will also be shared on RunBritain and Power of 10.

When will I receive my race information?

You’ll receive a detailed race information email on the Friday before the event. Please check your junk or spam folders just in case it lands there.

All key information will also be available on the event website in the week leading up to the race, along with entry lists. If you don’t receive the email, please check online or get in touch.

Will there be water stations on the course?

Yes. Water stations will be available at approximately 5km, 10km and 15km. Please help yourself as you pass through. There will also be water available at the finish line.

Is there somewhere to leave my bag?

Yes, there will be an informal baggage drop in the event village. We recommend bringing only essentials where possible.

Your baggage tag will be attached to your race number. Simply detach it, attach it to your bag, and hand it in at the baggage area. To collect your belongings, show your race number to the baggage team.

Can I wear headphones?

Headphones are not banned, but we strongly recommend that you avoid using them. If you do choose to wear them, please keep the volume low and leave at least one ear free so you can hear marshals and safety instructions.

Please also make sure you’re familiar with the course before race day.

What is the course like?

This scenic, undulating course showcases the Warwickshire countryside and takes place on fully closed roads, making it suitable for runners of all abilities. The final 2km is gently downhill, giving you the chance for a strong and memorable finish.

Where can I find my race photos?

Your official race photos will be available by the end of the day at www.photos.runthrough.co.uk/albums/events.

You’ll also receive a direct link in your post-race results email.

Where should I park on the day?

There are several public car parks nearby, including Sainsbury’s Pay & Display, which is free for up to 90 minutes. Please note there is no parking available at the racecourse itself.

Are dogs allowed at the event?

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at the event due to restrictions at the venue.
