Support from local businesses plays a vital role in helping us continue providing specialist care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire.
We are proud to work alongside businesses like Heath Lodge Clinic, whose ongoing support has so far raised £15,145.42 for Myton.
Their connection with us began when one of their team members volunteered at Myton and saw first-hand the role we play in supporting patients and families. Speaking about how their support began, Sioned Beale, Operations Manager at Heath Lodge Clinic said:
A member of our team volunteered at Myton and saw first-hand the impact of the organisation’s work. We’re so pleased that she did, and we’ve been supporting this incredibly worthy cause ever since.
The experience reinforced the similarities between our two organisations, particularly in our approach to dignity, respect and patient-centred care, making Myton a natural organisation for Heath Lodge Clinic to support.
We believe that all healthcare providers should put dignity and respect at the forefront of patient care. With an emphasis on patient wellbeing and the end of someone’s journey being as important as every stage, Myton is an invaluable asset to our local support and healthcare systems.
As a healthcare provider, the team at Heath Lodge Clinic supports patients at many different stages of their health journeys. While their role often focuses on diagnosis and treatment pathways, they also understand the wider healthcare landscape and the importance of specialist palliative and end of life care.
This understanding has reinforced why supporting Myton matters to them, not only for patients but for the wider community. Through their time at the hospice, they have seen the importance of the support we provide beyond clinical care, including practical and emotional support for families and loved ones. Sioned added:
We know just how crucial palliative and end of life care can be. The impact goes beyond the patients too. Supporting friends, family and loved ones also plays a big role in what Myton does, and we think that’s very important.
Their fundraising is helping us continue delivering these vital services across Coventry and Warwickshire at a time when demand for hospice care continues to grow.
It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones. As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year.
We rely on the generosity of our supporters, fundraisers and corporate partners to continue providing our services free of charge.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Heath Lodge Clinic for their continued support and for choosing to make Myton part of their fundraising efforts.
If your business would like to support The Myton Hospices through fundraising, sponsorship or partnership, we’d love to hear from you. By working together, local businesses can make a meaningful contribution to hospice care in our communities.
