The money you raise in this role will enable us to continue to provide amazing care at our Hospices across Coventry and Warwickshire.
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Shop Manager to work with the Shop Manager in maximizing sales and to run the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager. You will work together with the Shop Manager to maximise sales, recruit volunteers and provide a friendly welcoming environment for customers.
You will have an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the shop including sorting donations, pricing items, processing gift aid, banking takings and many more. By working in our shops there are many ways you can engage with customers in order to boost our income such as promoting Gift Aid, selling lottery tickets and selling our own greetings cards. This is a diverse role suitable for someone who wants to fully immerse themselves in all aspects of retail.
We are amazed by the volume of donations we receive from the public therefore this is a physically demanding role at times lifting and sorting donated items for sale.
Experience of working in retail would be advantageous however if you have no prior experience a positive and ‘can do’ attitude is just as important to us.
