The Two Castles Run is one of Warwickshire’s most iconic running events, bringing together thousands of runners each year to take on the scenic route between Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle.
This year, 73 dedicated runners chose to take on the challenge in aid of The Myton Hospices, raising an incredible £31,065.09 to support our patients and their loved ones.
The popular 10k event is a fantastic celebration of community spirit, determination and achievement. Whether participants were aiming for a personal best, taking on their first organised run, or running in memory of someone special, every mile completed helped make a difference to local families living with a life-limiting illness.
We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of our runners for the time, effort and commitment they put into both their training and fundraising. Their support will help us continue providing specialist care and support to people across Coventry and Warwickshire when they need it most.
A huge thank you also goes to Kenilworth Runners and the Rotary Club of Kenilworth for once again choosing The Myton Hospices as their charity partner and for organising another fantastic event. Their continued support plays a vital role in helping us raise awareness and funds for our services.
We would also like to thank our wonderful volunteers who cheered runners on from our Myton Cheer Point. Their enthusiasm, encouragement and energy helped keep participants motivated as they made their way along the course.
Together, the 73 runners raised an amazing £31,065.09. This vital support will help us continue providing our services free of charge to patients and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire.
At The Myton Hospices, we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life. It costs over £15 million every year to provide our services free of charge to our patients and their loved ones.
As a charity, with less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise more than £12 million this year. We simply couldn’t do it without the support of our incredible fundraisers, volunteers, partners and local community.
To everyone who ran, donated, volunteered, organised, cheered and supported, thank you. We are so lucky to be part of such a kind and caring community!
