Why your jump matters
Your bravery helps make specialist hospice care possible
We are the only hospice in Coventry and Warwickshire providing specialist palliative and end of life care , and the only local hospice with inpatient beds.
It costs more than £15 million every year to provide our services and less than 20% of our funding comes from the NHS. We rely on incredible supporters taking on challenges like this to help raise the money we need.

FAQs
Questions about your Myton skydive?
Here are the key things to know before you sign up.
What is my fundraising commitment?
You pledge to raise £450 for The Myton Hospices. The skydive costs £260 for Myton to book your place, and the balance of your fundraising pledge is retained by The Myton Hospices.
What are the key fundraising dates?
17th December 2026: £100 should be on your fundraising page.
5th February 2027: We recommend reaching £275.
8th March 2027: You should have reached your £450 fundraising pledge if you are jumping on 13th or 14th March.
15th March 2027: You should have reached your £450 fundraising pledge if you are jumping on 20th or 21st March.
What happens if I do not reach £450?
Fundraising does not always go to plan. If you have not reached your £450 pledge by the deadline, we will usually offer to move your place to a later event date, giving you more time to continue fundraising and reach your target.
Where will the skydive take place?
Langar Airfield is in Nottinghamshire and is around an hour’s drive from Warwick, Coventry and Rugby.
Address: Langar Airfield, Harby Road, Langar, Nottingham, NG13 9HY.
I cannot make these dates. Can I still take part?
Yes. Please contact our Challenge Events Team at challengeevents@mytonhospice.org to discuss alternative dates and availability.
How do I collect my Myton T-shirt for the event?
A member of The Myton Hospices team will be at the airfield on the day with your event T-shirt. Please collect yours when you arrive.
Look out for the Myton flag - a member of the team will be there to welcome you.
When will I know my jump time?
You will receive your allocated time slot approximately 10 weeks before your jump date.
Please note that this is your arrival time at the airfield, not your actual jump time. Once you have checked in, you will complete your safety briefing before being called to get kitted up and prepare for your jump.
For example, if your allocated time slot is 10am:
- 10:00am: Arrive at the airfield and check in.
- Approximately 10:30am: Attend your safety briefing.
- After your briefing: You can let friends and family know your parachute colour so they can watch out for you.
- Following your briefing: You will be called back to get kitted up and prepare for your jump.
Please allow approximately two hours at the airfield from your arrival time. This may vary depending on weather conditions and how the day is running.
Skydiving is weather-dependent, so delays are possible. We recommend allowing plenty of time and avoiding making other plans immediately after your allocated time slot.
What is the maximum weight allowed?
To comply with the event organiser’s health and safety restrictions, fully clothed:
If you are 163cm (5ft 4in) or taller, your weight must not exceed 95kg (14st 13lb).
If you are under 163cm (5ft 4in), your weight must not exceed 83kg (13st 1lb).
I weigh over 95kg. Can I still skydive?
Possibly. A specialist jump may be available for some participants up to 114kg. Please email challengeevents@mytonhospice.org before registering so the team can discuss availability and next steps.
Is there a minimum weight or height requirement?
There is no minimum weight or height limit and no maximum height restriction for the tandem skydive.
Is there an age restriction?
You must be at least 16 years old on the day of the jump. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign your consent forms on the day.
Are there medical restrictions?
Some medical conditions may affect whether you can take part, including diabetes, epilepsy, fits or recurrent blackouts, heart or lung disease, some cases of asthma and some mental health conditions.
You will be required to sign a medical declaration provided by the skydiving centre. If you have a significant health concern or pre-existing condition, you may need approval from an Aeromedical Examiner at your own expense.
If you are unsure, please contact the Challenge Events Team before registering.
How do I arrange professional photos and video?
A Myton representative is often there to take photos on the day. Professional photo and video packages can also be arranged directly with Skydive Langar and paid for when you check in.
What insurance is included?
You will automatically be covered for up to £2,000,000 third-party insurance. This does not cover personal injury.
You may wish to arrange your own personal injury or income protection insurance if appropriate.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
Email challengeevents@mytonhospice.org or call 01926 838838 .
