Gary Bradbury, our Retail Operations Manager, is gearing up for the Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge

Located in Indochina, Vietnam and Cambodia both offer a wealth of ancient culture, distinctive cuisine and colourful history for all those who travel there. This October, our Retail Operations Manager, Gary Bradbury, and his two friends, John Logue and Peter Griffiths, will have the opportunity to experience all of this first-hand whilst taking on our Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge.

Those who know Gary personally know he is no stranger to fundraising for Myton in his spare time. This is Gary’s second cycle challenge for Myton, having been one of the 20 daring cyclists who raised more than £60,000 for Myton by taking on our Malawi Cycle Challenge in October 2014.

Not only will Gary, John and Peter have to train very hard over the coming months to prepare themselves for the exotic temperatures and challenging terrain along the 350km course, but they have also set themselves an ambitious fundraising target of £9,000!

In order to achieve this, Gary, John and Peter have organised a number of collections and events across the region over the next couple of months including a disco on 20th August at Kenilworth Golf Club and a quiz night on 30th September at the Old Coventrians Club in Canley. In fact, last week Gary and his friends organised a collection at Sainsbury’s in Canley and managed to raise an impressive £1,553 thanks to all the generous shoppers who donated on the day!

Gary wanted to take on our exclusive cycle challenge in memory of a dear friend who sadly died at Warwick Myton Hospice last year.
