The Myton Hospices partners with The Software Training Company to upskill staff and provide a training location for local businesses

The Myton Hospices has partnered with The Software Training Company to provide IT training for Myton staff and provide a training location for businesses in the community.

As part of our digital strategy, we are committed to maximising the use of technology and identifying opportunities that support our sustainability. Upskilling our staff is a key part of this, helping us be more efficient so that we can continue to support patients and their loves ones.

Working with Heather Ledbrook from The Software Training Company, Myton staff are receiving complimentary IT training and we are opening up our IT training suite for Heather’s use to host other local businesses.

The Myton Hospices has identified around 40 key team members with a need for a variety of IT training support. Heather has been offering them a range of solutions, from her off the shelf ‘open’ courses to tailored solutions specific to an individual’s needs, so far providing six courses within the last four months, with more scheduled during the rest of the year.  Courses cover Excel levels 1-4, MS Word, PowerPoint, Windows & Explorer and Microsoft Teams.

Heather Ledbrook, Trainer at The Software Training Company, said:

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with The Myton Hospices, and to be able to share my knowledge with the staff and volunteers who make such a difference to the lives of the patients and their families. Sharing Myton’s excellent facilities to run the scheduled courses is a perfect way to bring our businesses together. I look forward to a long lasting partnership.
