You could also set up an online tribute page so that friends and family can donate quickly and easily.

We've partnered with MuchLoved, a UK charity that helps people create meaningful online tributes to remember those they love.

Your tribute page can be shared with family and friends to pass on funeral details, collect donations for Myton if people wish to give, and create a lasting place of remembrance. You and others can add photos, share memories, leave messages and light virtual candles.

Tribute pages are free and quick to set up, and once created they stay open forever and offer a meaningful way to honour your loved one’s life, mark anniversaries and continue fundraising in their memory.

It only takes a few moments to create a tribute to your loved one but once in place, your tribute will remain open forever as a meaningful way to honour their memory and help Myton’s patients and their families now and in the future.

A plaque is a chance to leave a physical tribute to your loved one in our gardens. Throughout the year our gardens provide a place of peace and reflection for our patients and their families, making them the perfect place to remember the people we love.

In return for a donation a plaque can be positioned in your chosen Myton Hospice or sent out to you for use in your own garden or home.

Some families choose to ask for a donation to be made to Myton instead of buying flowers for a funeral. This is a simple and effective way of supporting the hospice and helping future patients.

Did you know that 1 in 4 of our patients are cared for thanks to money donated to us in a Will. You don’t have to be wealthy to make a real difference to people’s lives, just 1% of your estate will help us care for local people when they need us the most.

We have events throughout the year with many people choosing to take part and raise money in memory of a loved one.

As well as fundraising events we hold annual Light up a Life services at each of our three hospices. They are led by our chaplaincy team and offer family and friends the opportunity to dedicate a light on our Christmas trees.
