At The Myton Hospices, we're so fortunate to have the support of a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers!
And whilst, there are plenty of roles in our hospices, they are not always available throughout the year, as they fill up quickly!
However, we would love you to get in touch if you are interested and would be happy to join a waiting list for when a role becomes available.

If you have a flare for arts and crafts and love games and activities, then this is for you!
Under the direction of our Activities Co-ordinator, you will be supporting patients and their families to create and enjoy activities. Activities can be a great distraction from the stresses of living with a life limiting condition and also help with wellbeing and communication.
We have many areas across Myton that need administration support, if you have keyboard skills and can use basic Microsoft Office programmes, Myton would love to hear from you.
You will be supported in your role and training will be provided. Take a look at the role description for more information.
Our Coffee Shop at Coventry Myton Hospice provides somewhere for patients and families to sit and relax and have a drink or maybe something to eat in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Myton Hospices treats the person, not the illness. This holistic approach involves a variety of complementary therapies to help you relax and to treat you as an individual with your needs always at the forefront of what we do.
If you are qualified to deliver reflexology, aromatherapy or massage and also hold your own insurance, we would love to welcome you to Myton.
It’s important to us that our buildings are maintained to a high standard, providing excellent facilities for our patients and their families.
Estates Maintenance Volunteers complete minor repairs to buildings, fixtures and fittings, carry out meter readings and assisting with painting and decorating.
If you have experience of basic maintenance and DIY tasks and experience of using the associated tools and equipment, we want to hear from you!
At The Myton Hospices we are very lucky to have lovely garden areas for our patients and their families to enjoy.
Our friendly team of Gardeners keep the gardens looking beautiful all year round. Do you have green fingers? If so, this role could be for you!
Alongside our Gardening Volunteers, Grounds Maintenance Volunteers help us to keep our outside areas looking fabulous!
This role is more physical work than our Gardener role, with more of a focus on painting fences, mowing and strimming the grass, clearing leaves, etc. This is a great role to keep you fit and healthy, whilst enjoying the lovely outdoor environments at our hospices.
If you're passionate about patient and family care and would love to help with the day to day support such as: activities, drinks, meals, games, and lending a listening ear then Myton is for you.
The ward is such a lovely place to volunteer, meeting families, patients and carers.
Listening Support Volunteers provide a confidential and impartial listening ear at moments of struggle, and this role is such a vital role for our patients, families and carers.
If you are empathic, caring and calm we would love you to join our team. All training is provided and clinical supervision is available.
If you're passionate about patient and family care and would like to help with the day to day support of our out-patients doing activities, and games, serving refreshments or just as a listening ear the wellbeing team is the place for you!
There is always something to do and you will be part of a great team.
Are you and your pet part of the Pets as Therapy movement? Would you and your pooch like to visit our patients at Coventry, Rugby and Warwick?
Animals make such a difference to our patients and families and also our staff too, bringing comfort in difficult times. If you would like to make regular visits to our patients and have completed the Pet as Therapy training course, then look no further.
Do you have good communication skills, are you organised and want to welcome visitors and patients to our sites?
We take pride in our volunteer services and want the first point of contact to be professional, personal and person centred. If you would like to share your skills then we would love to hear from you.
Do you like to drive? Do you like to get out and about? Are you a good communicator?
Then this role is for you. Our drivers support patients, families and carers that may find it difficult to get transport to and from Myton for appointments or to visit.
