Over 1,000 incredible supporters took to the wintery paths of Leamington Spa this weekend to take part in our annual Santa Dash.
The 5km route through Victoria Park saw a sea of Santas and Elves - there was no escaping the festive spirit!
The snowfall didn’t hold back, and neither did our incredible supporters, raising over £45,000! The most ever raised at a Santa Dash!
We were joined by our very own Monty the Bear, a giant Reindeer and the main man himself – Santa Claus.
Brand new for this year, we ran the Mini Dash. Children under 12 years of age were able to take part in a mini dash, and received a chocolate selection box and certificate from Santa!
Our annual Best Dressed Dog competition had never seen so many Christmassy dogs! Congratulations to our top three winners!
The Rock Choir and Royal Spa Brass Band also joined us in the snow! Thank you for your support and beautiful performances!
Cat Stuart-Yapp, Events Manager here at The Myton Hospices, said:
We are so thankful to everyone who braved the weather and joined us at our Santa Dash.
We raised more than £45,000 which is amazing, thanks to you all!
We would like to say thank you to Dennis Eagle, our sponsor for this event.
We also couldn’t have done this without our incredible volunteers! The community spirit that comes out of our annual Santa Dash is truly inspiring!
We would like to thank the amazing photographers who joined us on the dash, Viv and Andrew, our wonderful MC Simon Button, and Martin from Physical Formula for conducting the warm ups.
We would like to thank Leamington Mayor Councillor Nick Wilkins and David Kelham, High Sheriff of Warwickshire who also attended and showed their support.
