Coventry Cathedral Abseil 2020
Maybe you’re going to try and make it to April without your favourite treat, or you’re going to use the time to kick a habit. Perhaps you are going to try and do some exercise every day or take up a new hobby. You could donate some of the money you save or ask people to sponsor you to help raise funds for The Myton Hospices!
Whether you’re going to stop buying a treat from the vending machine at work, give up your favourite tipple, walk 10,000 steps every day or start running, feel even better for doing it by supporting Myton at the same time.
If you haven’t set yourself a target yet, why not do something good for charity instead?
During Lent we have two events which you could sign up to take part in or volunteer at for a few hours – our Abseil at Coventry Cathedral is happening again on Saturday 7th March and our Glow for Myton event takes place on Saturday 28th March at Princethorpe College!
At our Abseil, we are still in need of volunteers to:
- Run our merchandise stall – 12.30pm to 4.30pm
- Dress as our mascot Monty Bear and accompany him – 9.30am to 12.30pm and 12.30pm to 4.30pm
And at Glow for Myton we are looking for people to:
- Monitor the coach stops
- Marshal around the route
- Help set up at Princethorpe College – 4pm to 6pm
- Register participants – 6pm to 9pm
- Run the merchandise stall – 9.30pm to 12am
- Run the bag-drop stall – 6pm to 9.30pm and 9.30pm to 12am

Now is a great time to declutter the cupboards and sort out your wardrobe! And what can you do with the items which are too good to just throw away? Donate them to one of our 27 shops! We are always in need of good quality, saleable items to help us reach the £9.2 million we need to raise this year to continue providing our services free of charge.
