Charlie Hayden managed to complete his chosen distance of 100 miles in just 40 days this summer for The Myton Hospice’s Virtual Race!

Fundraisers spent the summer clocking up the miles for The Myton Hospice’s Virtual Race! Our Virtual Race was the perfect way for people to take on a challenge in their own time by running, swimming, cycling, walking and rowing! And all to raise money for Myton!

The youngest participant this year, 9 year-old Charlie Hayden, managed to complete his chosen distance of 100 miles in just 40 days! Charlie has previously taken part in our Glow in the Moonlight event with a friend who's Dad had been cared for by Myton.

This summer he decided he wanted to get on his bike to complete the Virtual Race, cycling 100 miles. His aunty took part in the challenge too by running her distance, and Charlie was inspired by trying to beat her! Between them they have raised over £800!

Charlotte Harris, Challenge Events Coordinator at Myton, said:

Once again we have been overwhelmed at how dedicated our Team Myton supporters have been by taking on The Virtual Race 100 Day challenge in their own time. You can be any age to take part and lots of people doing it also took part in other events this year. We really do have the best supporters at Myton and we are so grateful for them getting behind this challenge once again.

Thank you to Charlie and everyone who took part in our Virtual race and to everyone who supported and sponsored them!

Feeling inspired? Looking for your next challenge?
