An amazing £12,000 has been raised so far for The Myton Hospices from the Coventry Half Marathon!

The streets of Coventry were filled with runners on Sunday 24th March for the Festival of Running, and Myton was lucky enough to have a team of 60 dedicated supporters taking part!

We cannot thank everyone who took part enough for your support! And we are incredibly grateful to the organisers of the event for choosing Myton to be one of the charity partners!

Whether you were running or cheering along the route, we hope you had a great day! Take a look at some of the feedback we’ve had from Team Myton:

I thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was well organised and I loved the crowd participation. Coventry should be proud.

I had one of the best experiences EVER.  I've never done anything like this before, so when I was fortunate enough to get a free place from Myton I thought ‘this is my chance to prove to myself I can do it’, combined with raising funds for an extraordinary charity. I felt myself getting quite emotional when we were getting into position as it hit me to be part of such a huge worthy event.

Charlotte Harris, Challenge Events Coordinator at Myton, added:

The event could not have gone any better; the sun was shining and our runners were absolutely incredible! It was a pleasure to meet so many of our supporters on the day.

We look forward to growing our involvement with Coventry Half and build on our volunteer involvement as this year we had a water station at mile 4 marker where we could cheer everyone on. Our volunteers were brilliant and the crowds enjoyed seeing Myton’s Monty Bear at the finish line!
