Godiva’s Battleground has chosen Myton as charity partner for white collar boxing event…

We’re delighted to announce that Godiva’s Battleground has chosen us as its partner charity for its latest evening of white collar charity boxing.

Taking place at the Alan Higgs Centre on Saturday, November 19, the event will feature a number of bouts – including a dedicated Myton match up.

Myton will be the main beneficiary of the evening, through tickets sales, raffle and collections.

But, if anyone would like to sign up, slip on their boxing gloves and get into training, they can also boost our fundraising by getting friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them for taking on the challenge too.

Places are still available for anyone wanting to try their hand in the ring – and anyone doing so will receive a fantastic ten weeks of free training, the opportunity to learn to box, get into shape and take on a bucket-list challenge.

Total beginners – just like many who entered the ring to raise money for Team Myton four years ago (pictured) – are welcome to sign up by the deadline of the end of August, with training to begin in September.

Event organiser Aaron Behan said:

We’re delighted to be raising money for The Myton Hospices, which is a cause so close to our hearts and to so many other people across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Whether you want to sign up to take part or just come along on the night, enjoy a great night of boxing, and help us raise as much money as possible – we’d be so grateful of your support and involvement.

If you want to be one of the boxers on the night, we can promise a fantastic and free training regime, which will get you ready for the ring and your fight – it really is an opportunity not to be missed.

Chris Willmott, acting partnerships manager at Myton, added:

We’re hugely grateful to the Godiva’s Battleground team for choosing Myton as their chosen charity for this fabulous evening of charity boxing.

And I would like to echo Aaron’s appeal for people to support us in any way – either by taking part or by attending on the night.

Here’s to a great event and lots of money being raised.
