The Myton Hospices is joining forces with hospices across the UK to celebrate Hospice Care Week from 9th – 15th October.

Hospice Care Week is led by national hospice and palliative care charity Hospice UK, and aims to increase awareness of the services hospices provide and the people who keep them running.

In the communtiy…

During the week Myton staff and volunteers will be out in the community across Coventry and Warwickshire with an information stand and the Myton Tree; people can write what Myton means to them on butterflies which will then be hung on the tree. Come and see us at:

  • Sainsbury’s Saltisford – Warwick from 10am – 4pm on Tuesday 10th October
  • Central Library in Coventry from 10am – 3pm on Wednesday 11th October
  • Elliott’s Field Retail Park in Rugby from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 14th October

Sharing your thoughts…

We will also be encouraging staff from all three hospices, patients and their families, to share what Myton means to them on a giant blackboard which will be in all three Day Hospices and our two Inpatient Units.

Our social media channels…

Throughout the week we will be highlighting stories about our staff, volunteers, patients, donors and supporters on our social media channels through blogs and photos featuring our Myton selfie frame and using #HospiceCareWeek you can share your thoughts with us by tagging @MytonHospices

Our shops…

Our 21 shops will also be getting involved by displaying posters and bunting in their windows as part of the window dressing competition. Plus we will be wearing Hospice Care Week stickers and will have plenty of them to give out on our travels!
