The Myton Hospices is delighted to have been recognised by Investors in People as a workplace showcasing the very best in people management excellence!

Staff and volunteers were invited to take part in a questionnaire created by Investors in People, the results of which created the basis for the findings.

Nearly everyone interviewed indicated that Myton was a good or great place to work!

The main reason for this was the difference they could make for patients and their families dealing with terminal illness. For many, the support and camaraderie of their colleagues was a significant factor and just over half indicated that it was also the organisation as a place of work.

Director of Human Resources at The Myton Hospices, Geoffrey Etule, said:

We are delighted the IiP Assessor commented on the open and honest conversations held with interviewees, which ensured the findings are both detailed and valid. As a values-driven employer, we are determined to build on our IiP accreditation and maintain our good people management and HR practices over the coming years. At Myton, as well as caring for and supporting patients and their families, we also strive to look after our staff and volunteers. The Investors in People accreditation and Standard will help provide guidance so we can continue to develop this.
