This week is Hospice Care Week, a campaign brought to life by Hospice UK.
This week is all about celebrating hospice care nationwide and locally, highlighting the amazing work that is being done to ensure everyone has access to palliative and end of life care and exploring what more can be done to meet the growing demand.
This year’s theme is ‘opening up end of life care for all’.
Here at The Myton Hospices, we passionately believe that everyone deserves the best quality end of life care.
We are shining a spotlight on facts and figures that show growing demand for hospice services, and exploring how we can meet those needs.
Did you know the estimated number of patients who will need palliative care will rise from 240,000 to 379,000 within the next 10 years?
Hospices will have to adapt and expand in order to ensure these patients receive the care they need; a big priority for us is to extend our reach so that more people who need our services are able to access them, right from the point of diagnosis.
We have three hospices across Coventry and Warwickshire with a wide variety of services available to support people living with terminal illnesses and their families.
This is ever-evolving and none of our work would be possible with people like you!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past, supports us now, or will support us in years to come. You make it possible for us to provide the vital care needed.
