This Dying Matters Awareness Week, we are inviting you in to our Coventry and Warwick Hospices to find out more about the services we offer and how we may be able to support you and your loved ones, now or in the future.
Dying Matters Awareness Week aims to get people talking and share stories openly about dying and grief, to reduce the associated stress, stigma and social isolation.
Taking place from 8th-14th May, this week encourages communities across the country to come together and talk about death and dying.
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life, we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option; supporting people living with a terminal illness, and their families, from the point of diagnosis to end of life.
We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on patient wellbeing and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give our patients more quality time with their loved ones.
We will be offering tours and talks at our Warwick Myton Hospice and Coventry Myton Hospice to give our local community an opportunity to see what we do. We would love you to come along on:
Tuesday 9th May from 11am – 1pm at Warwick Myton Hospice
Wednesday 10th May from 11am – 1pm at Coventry Myton Hospice
Places are limited so you will need to book. Arrival time is 11am for a 11:15am start.
There will be an opportunity to meet the team, have a tour of the site and ask any questions you might have.
A short presentation on everything we do at Myton will also be delivered by our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Kate Blackford, and Community Engagement Manager, Olivia Bowskill.
