In my experience as a volunteer trustee for The Myton Hospices, this quote from a recent review of what Myton means rings true. At Myton, we pride ourselves in providing high standards in clinical and nursing care in a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment because at Myton we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option.
We know that making someone feel better is not just about medicine, sometimes holding someone’s hand or taking the time to listen to their fears makes the greatest difference.

My friends amongst the trustees all share with enthusiasm these values. We bring to Myton our experiences from our working and volunteering lives, our communities and our homes. Because our collective skill set is both deep and varied we can provide a helpful and at times a lively and challenging forum where we work with the operational directors. Together we provide robust high-quality oversight and governance input to the strategic and daily life of our caring community.
The team…
We are a happy trustee team, we get along well with the operational management team and The Myton Hospices staff and volunteers. Each trustee is encouraged to get involved as much as we wish to with the life of the hospices. Anyone joining us will find the skills and experience that they bring to be both valued and well used. They will be inspired and feel rewarded by joining in and contributing to the passionate and happy atmosphere they will find with us and indeed everyone at Myton.
