After raising an incredible £20,823 through his ‘20 in 25’ fundraising challenge, The Myton Hospices Volunteer Ambassador and local professional boxer Lewis Williams is back for year two of his fundraising journey in 2026 with his next challenge – ‘20 in 26’.

This year’s challenge aims to raise a further £20,000 to support the vital care provided by The Myton Hospices, bringing Lewis one step closer to his remarkable pledge to raise £1 million for Myton throughout his career.

Having experienced Myton’s care first-hand with Myton at Home, Lewis understands the difference compassionate hospice care can make for patients and their families, motivating him and his supporters to help ensure others have access to the same essential support.

Building on the success of his first year of fundraising for Myton, ‘20 in 26’ will help fund specialist palliative and end of life care across Coventry and Warwickshire. Like many hospices across the UK, The Myton Hospices is facing increased financial pressure and rising demand. Lewis’ £20,000 target could fund a hospice bed at Myton for 45 days – that’s 45 days of comfort, dignity and expert care for patients and their families.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of his supporters, Lewis’ ‘20 in 25’ campaign exceeded its £20,000 target, helping to fund Myton’s essential hospice services. That success now forms the foundation of ‘20 in 26’, as Lewis continues his ongoing commitment to The Myton Hospices.

One of the first opportunities to support the campaign will be an auction of signed shirts from the Haas F1 Team drivers Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman, taking place at Supercar Fest at Sywell Aerodrome in May.

It was brilliant to receive so much support through our fundraising events last year. We’ve got some exciting plans lined up for 2026, including auctions, taking part in Myton’s events, working with my commercial sponsors, and of course, the brilliant community at Cleary’s Gym.

What’s really been an eye-opener is just how many people have relied on the incredible support Myton provides when families need it most. We’ll be working hard to raise these funds, but we’ll also be having fun and bringing people together along the way. There’s lots of planning happening behind the scenes, with more to be announced soon and we’d love for everyone to get involved and support this wonderful charity that I know has helped so many people.

Jason Levy, Director of Fundraising and Supporter Development at The Myton Hospices, said:

Everyone at Myton is incredibly grateful to Lewis, his team, sponsors and all his supporters. Every year, we care for thousands of patients and their families who desperately need our care and support, and we simply couldn’t do this without the generosity of our community. Lewis and his supporters are a perfect example of that community spirit, and we are immensely proud of everything he does as our Volunteer Ambassador to raise both vital funds and awareness of Myton and hospice care. We’re excited to see what he does this year!

Lewis is committed to supporting Myton year after year, using his platform to raise awareness and vital funds for hospice care.

‘20 in 26’ is the next chapter in that journey, with fundraising challenges and events planned throughout 2026 to help reach the £20,000 goal – and to continue making a lasting difference for patients and families supported by Myton.
