Staff at Marks and Spencer have raised a phenomenal £27,931.23 for The Myton Hospices!

Over the last year, the Marks and Spencer shop on the Parade in Leamington Spa has been raising funds to support our vital work, and this has culminated in an incredible overall donation of almost £28,000!

To raise this money, staff took on ...

  • Skydives and the Three Peaks Challenge!
  • Collection tins and money spinners were in place around the shop
  • The company’s Head Office even match funded money raised in store!

Our wonderful volunteer Margaret Kite has been a regular fixture in the shop, where government guidance has allowed, collecting money, along with members of our Lottery Team signing people up to the weekly £1 lottery.

We have even received regular donations of flowers which have brightened the Inpatient Unit at Warwick Myton Hospice.

Louise Careless, Community Fundraiser at Myton, said:

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff at Marks and Spencer on the Parade – their support in choosing Myton as their Charity of the Year has been invaluable and we are thrilled by the money they have raised! Thank you to all the staff and the customers who helped raise such a fantastic amount. Now, more than ever, support from companies like this is vital as we continue to be impacted by Coronavirus.

Charity of the Year support, and relationships with businesses like Marks and Spencer, is an incredibly important part in our efforts to raise the £9.2 million we need to raise every year to continue providing our vital services free of charge.
