Myton’s first Golf Day raises nearly £12,000

On Saturday 29th September, 22 teams of local golfers gathered at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club in Coventry to take part in our first charity golf day.

Golfers enjoyed a complimentary bacon sandwich on arrival as well as a cup of tea or coffee before heading out to complete the 18 hole scenic course in the autumn sunshine.

Golfers also had the opportunity to take part in a short gaming clinic organised by PGA golf coach, Andy Gorman.

Once they had completed the course, golfers were invited to enjoy an evening meal followed by a prize presentation where a range of awards, from Callaway kit bags to a Tag phantom holdall, were presented to this year’s top players including the winning team, Bidvest Food Services.

Throughout the course, players were also competing to win the hole in one prize which was a £13,000 watch from this year’s sponsors, Tustains.

As part of the celebration evening, organisers hosted an auction featuring an array of exclusive items including a pair of business class tickets courtesy of Turkish Airlines to any of their 290 destinations.

Thanks to both Tustains and all those who attended this year’s event, we are very pleased to announce that our first charity golf day has raised nearly £12,000 for Myton!

We would like to thank every player who took part in our first charity golf day, all those who donated prizes for our auction as well as Tustains jewellers in Leamington Spa for sponsoring this year’s event.
