Thank you to everyone who joined #TeamMyton this weekend, we were blessed with the sunshine and had a great day of fun and fundraising – we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
We saw 934 of you put on your walking boots, take on your chosen miles and venture out into the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, the most we have ever had take part!
We're absolutely in awe of your support and so proud to say that you have raised a record-breaking £54,000 with sponsorship still coming in!
Taking on the picturesque 3, 6 or 12 mile routes, participants followed the sunshine with their friends, family and 4 legged companions. After the walk, we welcomed everyone back to the beautiful grounds of Warwick Myton Hospice for a well-earned BBQ and entertainment.
We were treated to the amazing performances by Pop Voices Choir, Andy Smith, Kirsty Anne and Paul Wylie, as well as Lee the Magician, who all entertained us at the hospice and on the route.
We’re sure you saw our fabulous photographer throughout the event. Take a look at the photos below to see if you can spot yourself!
We wouldn’t be able to put on such events without the help of some really special and important people.
Please join us in saying a big thank you to our incredible volunteers who supported us at the hospice as well as around the routes, marshalling, cheering you on and feeding you along the way!
The BBQ was a big hit after the many hours of rambling in the countryside – thank you to Ted and Ed for your tireless work!
We were also generously donated refreshments for the break stops from local supermarkets and companies. Thank you for keeping everyone motivated throughout their routes!
A special thank you has to go to Terri Chambers, Linsey May, Charlotte McKendry, Peter Minshaw and Rugby Support Group for providing some incredible homemade goodies for our tea tent!
We'd also like to say a big thank you to Jas Sandhar for donating 600 samosas and bhajis for the perfect refueling!
Thank you to our photographer, Andrew Llewellyn for capturing the event perfectly.
The atmosphere at the hospice was lovely, thank you to all the performers who made it so special.
We are so grateful for the ongoing support from Myton School and Warwick School for generously allowing walkers to park in their car parks.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Playground Games for their generous support in sponsoring this event.
But most importantly, we couldn’t have done this without all the incredible support from everyone who took part in this year’s Walk for Myton.
