We are looking for staff nurses and physiotherapists to join our team, with vacancies available at our Warwick and Coventry Hospices. If you would like to find out more we are holding a Recruitment Day at Coventry Myton Hospice on Saturday 22nd October 10am – 4pm.

You are welcome to drop in any time on the day, there will be an opportunity to meet the team, have a tour of the hospice and ask any questions you might have. Refreshments will also be provided.

We pride ourselves on providing person-centred, holistic and compassionate care for patients and their families living with terminal illnesses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

If you’re looking to make a real difference this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits.

Senior Staff Nurse, Kerry Merry, has worked for Myton since January 2020, previously she worked at George Eliot Hospital for 25 years.

Kerry works on our Inpatient Unit at Coventry Myton Hospice and first joined the team as a bank nurse in 2019 before taking up her permanent post.

When we asked her what she enjoys most about working at Myton Kerry said:

The time I have to spend with patients and their families, to talk to them and find out what is important to them.

It is a privilege to be able to help people to fulfil their dying wishes – we often arrange weddings, vow renewals and birthday parties.

We recently brought forward a 16th birthday party so that a patient could celebrate with her daughter, as we knew she would sadly die before the milestone.

It is an honour to help create these special moments and lasting memories.

We also welcome family pets and as a dog lover that is another perk for me!

It’s just another example of what makes working here so different – we really do go above and beyond to make patients and their families last days together as happy and comfortable as possible.

We are not just about end of life care though, we also offer symptom control and pain management so that people can be discharged home.

Kerry added:

It really is a great place to work with lots of opportunities, training and support.
