We would like to invite you to enter a team in this year’s Rugby Pop Quiz for another evening of fantastic quizzing and raising vital funds for The Myton Hospices. The quiz is organised by the wonderful Rugby Myton Support Group, and is being compiled and presented once again by the brilliant Dave Twynholm.
Join us on Thursday 16th October at Benn Hall in Rugby, with doors opening at 7pm for a prompt 7:30pm start. Teams can consist of up to 6 people and entry is £36 per team.
Prizes include £100 for the winning team, £60 for second place and £40 for third place. There will also be a £50 Lucky Number prize draw. This year the quiz is generously sponsored by Dains, an independent provider of expert business advisory and accounting services with offices across England, Scotland and Ireland, including their Rugby office. Dains offers end-to-end business support and bespoke advice tailored to the unique business and personal needs of their clients.
There will also be a raffle on the night with fantastic prizes to be won, and a fully stocked cash bar available (so please do not bring your own refreshments).
Rachael Ryan, Community Fundraising Manager at The Myton Hospices, said:
We are so excited to once again be hosting our Rugby Pop Quiz. This ever-popular event promises to be an evening full of fun, laughter and friendly competition, all whilst raising vital funds to support local people and their families.
Every team that takes part will help us continue providing our care free of charge to our patients and their loved ones, and we are so grateful for the incredible community spirit we see at this event year after year. We would also like to say a big thank you to Rugby Myton Support Group and Dave Twynholm for their ongoing commitment and support.
Did you know…? We are a charity, we are not the NHS, and we receive just 17% of our funding from the NHS. This means we have to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it costs this year to continue providing our services free of charge to our patients and their families. By taking part in this year’s Pop Quiz you will be ensuring people across Coventry and Warwickshire can access the care they desperately need and deserve.
Entry is on a first come, first served basis, and the deadline to get your team signed up is Monday 13th October.
