We are very happy to announce that we have been awarded a £10,000 grant from Stratford Town Trust.
The £10,000 grant will be used to care for Stratford residents who are admitted to our Warwick hospice for inpatient care and those who require the services of the lymphoedema clinic. These patients along with their families also have access to other services provided by Myton including bereavement counselling and pastoral care. Over the years, we have cared for a large number of Stratford residents, including Ian Dawson, 46, who died at Myton in September last year. His partner, Pennie Kendrick, said of the care; “It’s like being at home here- the hospital was so fast paced, very non-personal and clinical whereas it’s more individualistic and so much calmer here.”
All of our services are provided free of charge and we rely heavily on the generosity of charitable trusts to help us raise these funds.
