While this Christmas is likely to be quite different from anything most of us have experienced before, at The Myton Hospices we want to bring some festive cheer to everyone!
Our Festive Fun Days are the perfect way for work places and community groups to raise vital funds and stay connected, while also following government guidelines!
You can do almost anything to raise some money when you hold a Festive Fun Day, from wearing Christmas jumpers and outfits, and baking festive treats to holding a Christmas quiz and making gifts to sell! Anything festive you can think of doing will help support Myton and the people we care for, when we need it most.
We are also asking people if they would generously donate ‘festive sweet treats’ which we can give to patients, families and our hardworking frontline staff over Christmas.
The shining star on the top of our bumper Christmas offering this year is a brand new event – Christmas Karaoke!
We would love to see companies and community groups coming together via Zoom or Teams to record themselves singing a Christmas song in a bid to be crowned Myton’s Christmas Karaoke Champions of 2020!
Videos of the virtual singalongs can be uploaded to our private Festive Fun Day’s Facebook page and will be sure to spread some cheer at what is going to be a difficult time for so many people in so many ways.
We will even be picking our favourite entries to encourage some friendly competition!
We are aware of the pressures many people are currently facing, so we are only asking for a minimum £2 from every person taking part in this festive event and hope this will inspire more people than ever to join in the fundraising fun.
However, we would be delighted to receive as much as you are able to give to help us care for our patients and their families during the Christmas period.
You can set up group or company JustGiving pages to keep track of your efforts which will link to our main Myton Festive Fun Days JustGiving page.
