We are incredibly grateful to the Carl Lewis Foundation for their continued generosity, with a donation of £6,000 to support our vital services. Of this, £5,000 will fund 40 adult counselling sessions and support the continuation of our Citizens Advice service, helping patients and their loved ones access emotional and practical support.
The remaining £1,000 will go towards our Forever Memories fund, enabling us to provide special teddy bears that can carry the sounds of loved ones for children whose families are receiving care at Myton.
This donation is part of the Foundation’s ongoing support for causes close to their hearts, in memory of Carl Lewis, who received care at Myton. Since December 2021, the Carl Lewis Foundation has raised over £100,000 for charities, including over £37,000 for Myton, with £14,602 donated since April 2025 alone.

We appreciate the amazing care that Myton give, having had first-hand experience of it, and we know that the money donated will make a real difference to patients and their loved ones. We are so pleased to be able to fund the purchase of the recordable teddy bears for use by the Counselling Team – these are such a beautiful way for children and adults alike to remember their loved ones.
