The Myton Hospices Ultimate Fiery Fundraiser Raises Over £26,000!

On Sunday the 6th November, The Myton Hospices hosted the ultimate fiery fundraiser!

80 amazing supporters took on our Fire Walk, bravely conquering the coals, barefoot raising £26,000 and counting for Myton.

There was a great atmosphere at the event, and even the rain held off until the very end!

It was great to see the outstanding support from the side lines of both friends and families cheering on their loved ones.

Each Fire Walker has a different motive for completing the challenge and why they chose to raise money for The Myton Hospices.

One of our Fire Walkers, Louise Brady who successfully completed the Fire Walk on the night and helped to raise vital funds for Myton, kindly shared her story about how she pushed her limits and incredibly conquered her fear of fire:

For those that don't know, I was camping a number of years ago and the campfire spat out an ember which set my dress on fire despite my being a 'safe' distance from it.

The experience was terrifying and I have scars on both thighs from the burns

This is just one of the inspiring stories from the night and we can’t possibly express how proud and thankful we are for every single participant who took on this fiery challenge and everyone who supported them.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsor CEWE, not only for sponsoring our event but also for providing us with our magical mugs and t-shirts for each participant.

Thanks also to our photographer, Andrew, who provided his wonderful photography skills once again who captured the atmosphere on the night.

Finally, we would like to thank our amazing volunteers. We would not be able to hold such successful events without your incredible support!

We want to say a huge thank you and congratulations to you for bravely conquering the coals and helping to raise vital funds for The Myton Hospices - we really appreciate it!

The turnout was fantastic and we were so pleased to see the support from your friends and family too.

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did and had a night to remember.

It was an honor to support Myton Hospice’s recent Firewalk, where a life-changing amount of money was raised to support the charity. It was fantastic to see so many people come together and take part in a fun event for a deserving cause.

We’re really proud to be supporting Myton Hospice as our charity of the year and have a calendar of events where the whole team will be coming together to raise as much money as we can. As the charity is local to us, we’re pleased to be making a positive impact in our local community in Warwick and the surrounding areas, as the charity provides a much-needed service.
