Generously sponsored, once again, by Tustains and hosted by Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club, the day was yet another huge success in every way.
How many teams took part...
21 teams took to the course in a bid to be crowned Myton Golf Day Champions, before changing out of their golf gear and taking up residence in the clubhouse for a three-course meal, raffle and auction.
Golfers showed amazing support for Myton throughout the day, helping raise over £14,000 – money which will make such an amazing difference to the lives of patients and their families across the region.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in what was another fantastic Myton Golf Day that has raised a truly wonderful amount of money for our hospices.
Thank you to our sponsors Tustains, to our hosts Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club and to everyone who took part on the day, who donated prizes for our raffle and auction and who played their part in making the event such a success.
The winners on the day were Team Karen, playing in memory of Karen Skelton who died at the Coventry Myton Hospice in March 2017, and who successfully retained their 2017 title.

We are delighted to have won the Myton Golf Day once more – although we had a lot of luck on the back nine which enabled us to defend our title!
During our family’s extremely difficult time, Myton showed amazing care, respect and professionalism towards Karen and our family. Throughout our 12 days there we were told of the amount of money required to keep Myton running per year, this is when my daughter Elizabeth suggested fundraising and doing our bit.
We have found some sort of comfort from our fundraising and to date our total exceeds £13,000. Thank you to Myton for a very well run event and keep up the good work.
Second place went to The Allsorts, while Unite in Health completed the top three!

The on-course competitions, including Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, were hard fought, while the Hole-in-One competition proved a slightly tougher ask and is yet to be won – maybe someone will beat it next year?!

Plans are already being made for next year’s Golf Day!
