This video from St Ann’s Hospice in Manchester gives an insight into the care and support hospices across the country provide.

Like St Ann’s Hospice we provide end of life care on our two Inpatient Units and Day Hospice services in Coventry, Rugby and Warwick for people with Cancer, but also a variety of other terminal illnesses including Motor Neurone Disease, COPD and Renal failure to name just a few.

We have to raise around £26,300 every day to continue to provide these services free of charge to patients and their families.

It is heartening to see Joe and his daughter talking so positively about hospice care and how it is making things a little bit easier at such a difficult time. A good death is possible thanks to hospices and their staff, and at Myton we believe everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option.

Well done to St Ann’s Hospice, Joe and his family, and Janet for being a part of such a powerful video. And thank you to the BBC for highlighting the incredible work hospices do!
