Held on Saturday 8th June and organised by The Myton Hospice’s Coventry Support Group, this year’s Coventry Summer Fayre was a resounding success, raising an amazing £4,856.78 – the most raised from the fayre since before Covid-19!
Attendees were treated to a fantastic range of stalls, games, hot food and refreshments, and were lucky enough to enjoy performances from our very own Myton Choir, a local school and 4 Tune Dance group. Binley Fire Station also visited in their fire engine which went down a treat!
To celebrate the success, the Coventry Support Group was invited to Coventry Myton Hospice for a cheque presentation photo on Tuesday 9th July. To say a big thank you, Claire McDowell, Coventry Fundraising and Front of House Lead at The Myton Hospices, provided a selection of cakes and expressed a heartfelt thanks to the group for their continued support.
Claire commented:
On behalf of our Coventry Support Group, we would like to thank everyone who volunteered, made cakes, donated items and attended this year’s Summer Fayre.
The Fayre was a great success and I am delighted to say that a fantastic £4,856.78 was raised on the day, which is an amazing achievement. It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the refreshments, cake stalls and tombolas.
Our Support Group work tirelessly throughout the year raising funds for us and we really can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication.
We’d like to say a big thank you to Coventry Support Group members Pat Fahey, Joan Canham, Anne Aston, Maureen Jones, Janet Print, Gerry Print, Angie Popovic and Alison Ridding for your unwavering dedication!
Of course, we also have to thank the volunteers and staff who lent a hand on the day for generously donating your time for us!
And lastly, thank you to everyone who came along on the day to show your support! We hope you enjoyed the variety of activities on offer!
This year, we need to raise £11 million to continue providing our services free of charge to people and their families in Coventry and Warwickshire, and we couldn’t do this without your incredible support!
