Being a volunteer at The Myton Hospices can involve almost anything!

This can include working in one of our shops and lending a hand in our Fundraising team to supporting patients and their families in our Day Hospices and Inpatient Units.

The relationships we have built…

By working with people in the community we have also built up some wonderful relationships with local groups who regularly volunteer their time and expertise to help us in a variety of ways!

Two such partnerships we have are with the Warwick Horticultural Society and Earlsdon Gardening Club, whose members regularly lend a hand to make sure the grounds at our Warwick and Coventry hospices look beautiful for patients and their families to enjoy. From building pergolas to planting flowerbeds, the volunteers have continued to look after the gardens.

The activities that have been planned…

Day Hospice patients at all sites enjoy planting activities so they can add to the beautiful array of plants and flowers growing, as well as playing garden games in the sunshine. And patients on the Inpatient Units are also able to enjoy the grounds as every room has doors which open out onto to the gardens.

It makes a big difference to patients and their families to be able to enjoy the gardens! Children visiting loved ones are able to run and play, and those wanting fresh air can enjoy nature.

Is helping to maintain the grounds at Warwick Myton Hospice something you would be interested in?

Perhaps you enjoy working outside and gardening?

If so, you could be just the person we are looking for to join our Estates Team as a volunteer!
