27 shops and Distribution Centre, serve meals and make drinks for patients and families on our Inpatient Units and Day Units, drive patients to and from the hospice, as a friendly face on reception, provide a listening ear and hand to hold to those who need it, tend to our gardens, serve in our Coffee Shop, support our teams with administrative tasks, or help make our events the best they can be, volunteers touch every single aspect of Myton.
Many of our wonderful volunteers aren’t able to be with us during the Covid-19 pandemic, for the safety of everyone. We are really missing them and can’t wait to welcome them back.
We are also extra appreciative of those who are still able to help on reception, with driving and in our gardens right now.
To celebrate our amazing volunteers, we’ve put together this video below to show our appreciation…
Thank you to all of our volunteers for all that you do for Myton. We really appreciate the role that you play in making our work possible, we couldn’t do it without you!
Check out what a few volunteers had to say after receiving the video:
It put a huge smile on my face, I have to admit though it also gave me a few tears. What a lovely thing for everyone to do. That just shows why I and everyone else helps out at such a fabulous organization.
That is the BEST video - it put a big smile on my face
What a lovely video - it was very touching. I look forward greatly to returning - let’s hope it’s not too long a wait!
Happy Volunteers Week from everyone at
The Myton Hospices!
