The Warwickshire Adult Hospices: The Mary Ann Evans, The Myton Hospices,The Shakespeare Hospice, and Shipston Home Nursing continue to provide high quality palliative care services for patients and their families in our communities.
Collectively, we support approximately 5,000 patients and their families each year ensuring that they live well until the end of their lives.
The total cost of providing these vital services is £15.6 Million, and of this voluntary income accounts for £11.6 Million.
The Pandemic has had a significant impact on our ability to raise voluntary funds as fundraising events have been cancelled, face to face fundraising is not possible and our shops have closed.
We have to assume that this situation will continue well into 2021 and, therefore, with our voluntary income at risk, the vital services we provide for local people will be at risk too.
During these difficult times, we have been working together, and alongside our NHS colleagues, to help keep all those who need us, safe and cared for in their place of choice.
