We are looking to grow our team of Volunteer Drivers to offer patients access to all the services they need, including counselling, wellbeing support, physiotherapy, complementary therapy and more.

Our Volunteer Drivers provide a vital lifeline to help people access the services available at Coventry and Warwick Myton Hospices as well as the Rugby Myton Support Hub. Volunteers drive patients from their home to our hospice sites but it is so much more than just a car journey – it gives patients the chance to get out of their homes, have a chat, see their neighbourhood, see season changes and feel in touch with their local community. Patient transport is undoubtedly a form of unacknowledged therapy!

Naomi Randell, Volunteer Coordinator at The Myton Hospices, said:

This highly flexible volunteering position is an opportunity to meet new people in your community, develop new skills and experiences, and contribute to the support we offer our patients and their families. We are excited to expand our team to ensure everyone who is in need of our support can access it when they need it most.

You will need to be a competent, safe driver with a full UK driving licence and have the use of a car. We are looking for reliable and punctual individuals who are friendly, patient and good with people. This is a great way to help families in your local community whilst enjoying your love of driving!

If you or anyone you know would be great in this role,
we would love to hear from you!
