We held our annual Long Service Awards at the end of November to say thank you to the Myton volunteers who have reached a big milestone.
From 5 years of service to 30, we awarded 50 volunteers who have supported Myton over the years.
Covering all aspects of The Myton Hospices, these volunteers support in a wide range of roles across our sites including our receptions, inpatient units, coffee shops, charity shops, fundraising events and support groups.
We treated the amazing volunteers to a delightful lunch and our very own CEO, Ruth Freeman, made a speech devoted to the dedication shown by our volunteers and handed out the well-deserved certificates.
Take a look at the photos below, you may even see a four-legged furry friend! Robbie volunteers with his human Sally on our Warwick Myton Hospice reception!
We have also been celebrating the festive season with Volunteer Christmas Drop In events!
Held at each of our hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby, we have invited our volunteers to celebrate Christmas with us to say thank you for all their hard work this year!
We had a tea, coffee and hot chocolate station, mince pies and Christmas cake, songs, quizzes and a lot of fun!
Ruth and our Trustees congratulated and thanked our amazing volunteers for their support and wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We couldn’t be more grateful to the 800+ volunteers who selflessly donate their time to help our mission in supporting people and their families living with a life-limiting illness across Coventry and Warwickshire.
